Why 2XU is No. 1

Graduated compression

2XU's most distinctive feature is "Gradual Compression". 2XU compression has a controlled and calculated graduated compression function to increase blood flow, reduce blood lactate, and increase lymphatic drainage. From development to manufacturing, 2XU compression wear is backed by the trust that is tested using medically certified Salzmann measuring devices.

Continuous testing

2XU performance is underpinned by almost a decade of research from the world renowned Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and RMIT University. Using cutting edge technology and equipment, fabrics are rigorously tested, designed and developed to consistently meet the high performance demands of athletes.

Compression tights

2XU Compression Tights are versatile and a must-have for any activity or post-exercise recovery. They are ideal for toning and shaping low and high impact training, competition and recovery. They are breathable, lightweight and provide strong support to key muscles.

The world's most advanced compression technology

  • More than twice the compression power compared to other brands
*Based on average Newton (N) measurements across 8 competing compression brands

  • Scientifically engineered to be the lightest, strongest, most flexible compression in the world.
  • No.1 warp and weft power balance and stretch performance

Improved performance

  • Up to 10.6 seconds reduction in 10km run
  • 5% Increased maximum strength 18% Increased blood flow to the quadriceps
  • Increase your power by up to 1.4% after 30 minutes of exercise
  • Even this level of improvement in numbers can impact competitive success.

Reduced risk of injury

  • Reduces muscle vibration (quads, calves and surrounding soft tissue)
  • Improves blood clotting while running
  • Reduces heart rate increase by up to 2.5% (for exercise of up to 15 minutes)

Fast Recovery

  • 8% improved blood lactate clearance (with 60 minute recovery)
  • Reduces swelling by up to 1.1cm in thighs and 0.6cm in calves (after 60 minutes of recovery)
  • Up to 2% improvement in muscle recovery (when worn during intervals)

MCS Compression

For ultimate performance.

MCS compression provides targeted support to key muscles

MCS (Muscle Containment Stamping) is an innovative fabric support system that targets key muscle, tendon and fascial groups to support key muscles against fatigue and strain during intense activity.

function

MCS "stamping" supports performance by wrapping precise areas of the limbs and providing greater compression to reduce muscle vibration and damage. Advanced engineering provides greater compression power without adding weight or bulk to the garment.
The stampings are layers in themselves, placed on the lining of the garment (the inside-out side of the fabric) exactly where they are needed to support muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascial groups.

Ultimate Muscle Support

Stabilizing muscles reduces shaking and micro-tears.

Ultimate Performance

It reduces fatigue and produces more power.

Graduated compression reduces fatigue and promotes recovery

Graduated compression tights exert maximum pressure at the ankles and the level of pressure gradually decreases towards the top of the garment. This pressure gradient forces blood to flow upwards towards the heart, rather than downwards towards the feet or laterally through superficial veins. Proper graduated compression reduces the diameter of major veins, increasing the speed and volume of blood flow.

Made with the strongest PWX fabric ever developed by 2XU

2XU MCS compression tights are made from PWX105D fabric, which is made up of 65% nylon and 35% elastane (InvistaLYCRA®, a polyurethane elastic fiber). The maximum amount of pressure that can be applied is 23-26*mmHg, which is the highest of all compression fabrics that 2XU has.

Effect of MCS

Research has shown that the higher the level of compression properly applied to the body, the greater the increase in blood flow, which has been shown to improve performance and speed up recovery.

MCS Men's Run Compression Short Tights

2XU's most popular item among runners, the MCS Run Compression Short Tights, was developed after detailed research into the effects of running on the legs. MCS (Muscle Containment Stamping) is a revolutionary support system that anatomically maps key muscle, tendon and fascia groups to further reduce muscle vibration, fatigue and damage, helping you run stronger and longer.

Graduated compression promotes blood circulation for efficient warm-up and faster recovery. Reflective logos enhance safety at night or in low light conditions.

The MCS running shorts series have three pockets: a zippered key pocket, a storage pocket for your phone and other items, and a mesh pocket for energy bars, etc., designed to suit different uses.

The Benefits of Compression

2XU material has best-in-class compression power, so please pay attention to the following points to maintain its performance without damaging the fabric. In particular, sweat, chlorine, hot water, and hot air can deteriorate and damage the fibers, so please hand wash in cold water and dry in the shade. When using a washing machine, we recommend using a laundry net or a setting suitable for clothes that are easily damaged.

        • Be sure to wash in cold water.
        • Do not bleach.
        • Do not use a hair dryer or dryer.
        • Avoid direct sunlight or drying in the sun. Drying in the shade out of direct sunlight is recommended.
