ORTIX technology, developed based on 3D scan data of over 4 million feet, provides a snug fit that feels like it's molded to your feet from the moment you put them on.

The new nitrogen-infused AeroFoam midsole provides an upgraded foam that boosts rebound and flexes at the bottom of the midsole to absorb shock and provide a more cushioned feel.

FULCRAM

KARHU Fulcrum technology is designed to direct all force forward, reducing braking forces and harnessing your body's natural energy for a smoother ride. This is what we call the rolling effect. Fulcrum technology provides a balanced combination of cushioning and improved support.

ORTIX

Ortix Fit uses data collected directly from the feet of over 2 million runners to mold the midsole and upper volumes. Starting in 2018 with the launch of the Karhu Ikoni, the first model molded with ORTIX, Ortix Fit now offers all footwear models with ORTIX Fit based on actual scan data in Regular, HiVo and Hera volumes.

M-LOCK

The internal bootie construction and M-lock side panels keep the shoe locked in place.

IDEAL KNIT

The seamless woven upper pattern is placed on an Ortix last that features zones for support, stretch and breathability.

AERO FOAM

Our proprietary midsole foam is lighter than EVA, more resistant to temperature changes, and has excellent cushioning.

AERO FOAM NOVA

Our proprietary foam has improved shock absorption and is more durable than other foams.
