Design Story

Put that feeling on a T-shirt.

Runtrip's collaboration with former Japan national rugby team captain Toshiro Hirose dates back two years.
With gyms closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I discovered the joy of running amidst a feeling of isolation.
It was almost fate that Hirose and Runtrip met, and the "ETHICAL LOCKER ROOM Tee" was the first product to give form to his ideas.

After that, we both kept running desperately and decided to give shape to another new "feeling" in the form of a T-shirt. It blossomed into the shape of "BLOSSOM".

The concept of "CAFÉ STAND BLOSSOM," which Hirose arrived at to open up the possibilities of fermentation and amazake, is once again expressed on the canvas of a T-shirt. It is as minimal as possible, the material is highly functional and environmentally friendly, and above all, it is a T-shirt that will make people who wear it feel energized.

We will pass on to the next generation the wonderfulness of Japan's traditional wisdom and resources, as well as the care and movement of the body from the inside out.

CAFÉ STAND BLOSSOM ~ KAMAKURA ~ Background of opening

Ever since I was an athlete, I've been particular about what I eat.
I have been incorporating a lot of fermented foods into my diet to help me perform better.
After returning, I continued to travel to rural areas and learn more about food, and I felt a sense of crisis that the important things in the land were becoming less likely to be passed on.

In addition, with rising prices and food self-sufficiency issues, I realized it was even more important for Japanese people to treasure Japanese things. I strongly felt that my own actions were important in order to convey this message, so I decided to try my hand at the food and beverage business.

So, first of all, we are focusing on "amazake". It is so good for the body that it is called a drinking IV drip. We will deliver "a new way to enjoy amazake, which has been loved in Japan for a long time, that goes beyond just drinking it".

We want to contribute to everyone's health, smiles, and performance.
We want to open up the possibilities of Amazake and the future of each and every person.
With that in mind, we developed our menu.

We are doing our best to create a place that will please everyone, so we hope you will come and visit us.

Through Amazake, we sell the power to make you feel positive in both body and mind. This is a place where you can feel more energetic (from the bottom of your body) than before you came.
A place where visitors and workers alike can blossom.

The naming is
The logo features rice petals, a reference to a flower blooming and the Japanese national team's nickname, "Brave Blossoms."

A refurbished body that embodies the concept

The body of this garment is made of 100% recycled polyester, an ethical material. Although it looks like cotton, it is actually 100% polyester with excellent quick-drying and UV-resistant properties. The body used this time is from the "Bring" brand by Japan Environmental Design. It is a circular economy product that recycles resources, made from recycled materials collected and chemically decomposed from old clothes.

No matter how you look at it, it looks like cotton. Therefore, it has the perfect look and feel as an everyday T-shirt. However, it is actually 100% (recycled) polyester, and has excellent UV protection and quick drying properties even if you run and sweat. Furthermore, it is made from polyester that can be recycled many times, so it is very sustainable. And the surprisingly smooth feel and texture will make your running comfortable and enjoyable no matter how much you sweat, creating the ultimate everyday experience.
