Excellent grip even on rough roads
The fully redesigned CHALLENGER 7 features a slimmed-down mesh upper.
The midsole uses a new soft foam that is higher off the ground and provides better cushioning. In addition, the outsole has been redesigned with the addition of a proprietary rubber, making it more suitable for both road and trail use.
Inspired by gravel tires, it has small, closely spaced lugs in the center and larger, aggressive lugs on the periphery for excellent grip on rough surfaces.
All-terrain shoes that are significantly lighter than the previous model
The upper is made of slimmed-down engineered mesh made from recycled materials. The midsole, which uses a new soft foam, has been made thicker to further improve cushioning. While improving cushioning, it is 27g lighter than the previous model.
Takuya Asanaga, manager of Trippers, a trail running specialty store familiar to viewers of the Runtrip Channel, also gave the shoes high praise, saying, "The shape around the heel has changed and the upper is now a double mesh type, so the fit has improved. The rocker structure also feels smoother."
